Where can I buy more strings?
You will want cotton string for your wood, fixed-axle yoyos. YoYoExpert.com and YoYoSam.com usually carry bulk cotton strings. If you want the nicest cotton string available, try Zipline [kot-n].

You can use any type of string for bearing yoyos, like the Druid.

How smooth are these yoyos?
Wood is a natural material with natural variations in weight distribution. Because of this, a bit of "vibe" is common if not expected in wood yoyos. Wildwood yoyos are designed to reduce as much vibe as possible and within reason for a wood yoyo so that it plays exceptionally well.

My yoyo won't wind up. It keeps slipping.
Wildwood yoyos are designed to have consistent, predictable response, but sometimes a new string needs help breaking in. This can be especially true of boutique cotton strings.

Try this: Let the yoyo hang from your finger and twist the yoyo so the string gets much tighter. Play with this tighter string torsion for a while until the string breaks in and responds consistently. Then gradually unwind the torsion a bit at a time until it's neutral.

Another trick is to apply a tiny amount of beeswax chapstick to the loop end of the string where it attaches around the axle.

Does my yoyo unscrew or come apart?
The description section for each yoyo indicates if the yoyo can be unscrewed. If you get a string snag, try using a toothpick to untangle the string.

Do you do custom orders?
Not at the moment.
